Fast Break : Raptors Game-Day Preview verses NJ Nets

I have decided as of now to call all the game day previews 'fast break'. I have no reasoning behind it besides watching all other blogs have a random basketball term to signify a particular post.

The NJ nets come to town with their duo core of Devin Harris and Vince Carter. Harris has been lighting it up this year with 20+ points per game and second only to Dwight Howard in free throw attempts. I don't know what was in Mark Cuban's mind to trade Harris, Diop a first round pick and extras for a washed up Kidd. See that empty space where your trophy is supposed to be Cuban? Thats the reason why you don't make stupid trades as a gut-reaction to another stupid trade (shaq to phoenix). Anyways, VC is also on the team and he is pulling his best 'why am i here, i love giving 74%' routine. However, if he wanted to turn it on, our wings are going to be serevely exposed.

Hopefully we can challenge Harris and VC with jump shots earlyand limit the amount of time they drive into the paint. It will be an interesting match-up between simmons and Bargs. Hopefully il mago can build on his 25 point effort against the heat and play some tough defense and hit some shots. Bosh should absolutely destroy Yi, there is no reason not to expect a 30/15 game out of him tonight and JO matches up well against William. I hope they throw it in to Bosh early, get the double and play it to Bargs. Once Bargs gets heated up we will have three options down low, with Kaps, Calderon and Parker firing away at the perimeter.

Match-Ups
pg: Calderon/Harris tie
Both are good at different things and i think this match-up will be a wash
sg: parker / VC adv
Vince should be able to exploit this match-up quite easily if he is motivated
sf: adv. bargs / Simmons
Simmons has nothing on the Italian sensation!
pf: adv. bosh / Yi
this really is no contest
c: adv. o'neal / williams
o'neal will craftily win this battle. I'm hoping for his sixth consequtive double-double

I am predicting an easy Toronto win
Tor 102 - 89 NJ
